A doctor from Thika has faced criticism from Kenyans after making a comment about President Uhuru Kenyatta. Dr. Erica Kakile, who worked at the Thika Level 5 Hospital before the doctors' strike began, posted a comment on Facebook that has sparked outrage.
According to the original account, Dr. Kakile's comment was in response to President Kenyatta's statement that doctors would no longer be allowed to hold him and Kenyans at ransom. The president had also stated that some doctors spend only two hours in public hospitals before going to their private clinics to earn extra money.
Kenyans have taken to social media to condemn Dr. Kakile's comment, with some calling her out for her language. Muthoni Wakahiu Maina commented,
I hear you said something else related to schizophrenic.... I don't know what they are but you are the doctor, you know better! I hope you don't kill patients with your anger and last-name preference!

Pride comes just before a fall....I know so many doctors even here in Thika who abscond duty and are all over private clinics here and in Nairobi.If you don't yourself, look at the mirror and lie to that person. Seems you have deep hatred for the person...president and the tantrums you've thrown to his person. The point is...You got blood on your hands.
