Lulu Hassan, a prominent Swahili news anchor, has been accused on social media by a script writer who claims she owes him money for his work.

The script writer, Maina Denis Wanjohi, alleges that he wrote the script for the Moyo program, which aired on TV every Wednesday at 7:30 pm. However, weeks after submitting his work, Wanjohi was fired, with the explanation that his work did not meet Lulu Hassan's standards.

Despite being told that his episodes were unfit for broadcast, they began airing on TV last year. Wanjohi claims that he was never paid for his work and that his attempts to seek payment were ignored.

Evidence and Context

A demand letter sent to Jiffy Pictures, a company owned by Lulu Hassan, was reportedly disregarded. Lulu Hassan allegedly told Wanjohi to resolve the issue with Ibrahim Chitayi, the head writer of Jiffy Productions, instead of involving her directly.

Wanjohi also alleges that Chitayi made unwanted advances towards him, which he rejected, leading to the poor treatment he received.

Response and Consequences

Lulu Hassan has not responded to the allegations on social media, where she has been tagged in posts about the matter. Wanjohi claims that he has been blacklisted in the industry after pursuing the case, despite receiving warnings from third parties.

The allegations against Lulu Hassan remain unresolved, with no official statement from her or her representatives regarding the claims of non-payment for services.
