Mercy Corps is seeking a committed and dynamic individual to fill the position of Administration and Logistics Assistant in Wajir.
The Administration and Logistics Assistant will be responsible for assisting with administration and logistics functions at the field office, working closely with the Program, Operations, and Finance teams.
Key Responsibilities: ¶
- Procurement: coordinating daily procurement activities, understanding and assisting with Mercy Corps procurement policies and formats, and collecting quotations and bids from the market.
- Fleet management: assisting with general management of program vehicles, collecting and distributing vehicle log-sheets, and updating the vehicle movement board.
- Administration: assisting with staff travel arrangements, supporting administration, HR, and IT focal points, and ensuring adherence to Mercy Corps administrative, IT, HR, and logistics procedures and staff policies.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in supply chain management, office administration, or a related field, with strong organizational and interpersonal skills, good oral and written English skills, and the ability to work effectively with a wide variety of people.
In addition to the Administration and Logistics Assistant position, Mercy Corps is also recruiting a Programme Director to provide overall leadership, management, and strategic vision for the program.
Programme Director Key Responsibilities: ¶
- Program Implementation: providing leadership and strategic vision, ensuring program implementation is responsive to communities and aligned with Mercy Corps principles and strategic plan.
- Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) and Reporting: facilitating the achievement of program targets and objectives, leading efforts to design effective M&E systems, and ensuring timely and quality formal and informal reporting.
- Coordination and Representation: representing Mercy Corps at government, donor, NGO, and other relevant events, coordinating activities with consortium partners, sub-grantees, local government, and other implementers.
