A leading corporate IT company with operations in multiple countries, including Kenya, is recruiting a Chief Information Officer.

Job Role

The Chief Information Officer will provide vision and leadership for developing and implementing information technology initiatives that align with the company's mission. The successful candidate will direct the planning and implementation of enterprise IT systems to improve cost effectiveness, service quality, and mission development.

Responsibilities

The Chief Information Officer will be responsible for all aspects of the company's information technology and systems, including:

  • Strategic and operational planning
  • IT departmental goals, objectives, and operating procedures
  • Budgeting and cost-benefit analysis
  • Disaster recovery and business continuity planning
  • Acquisition and deployment of IT systems
  • Operational management of IT services

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A university degree in computer science or business administration, and/or 15 years of applicable work experience
  • 8-10 years of experience managing and/or directing an IT operation
  • Experience in strategic planning and execution
  • Considerable knowledge of business theory, management, and IT systems
