Angharad Bullock, a 38-year-old woman, has married Loric Bullock, a man from Jamaica who is 19 years her junior. The couple met on Blackberry Messenger when he was 19, and their relationship blossomed over Skype.
After meeting in person during a three-week holiday in Jamaica in 2013, Angharad became pregnant with Loric's child. He proposed to her via text message, and she accepted. To facilitate his move to the UK, Angharad took out a £3,000 loan to cover the cost of his temporary British visa.
The couple tied the knot in May and now reside in Cardiff with their son, Tyrese, and Angharad's daughter from a previous relationship, Daisy, who is 15. Angharad notes that people often mistake Loric for Daisy's boyfriend due to their significant age difference.
Angharad defends her age, stating that she does not look or dress her age, which helps her avoid appearing older than she is. As she puts it:
'I don’t look as old as I am and I certainly don’t dress my age because I don’t want to look my age. I don’t have wrinkles so I’m lucky.'
Loric is now 22 years old. Despite the unusual start to their relationship, the couple seems to have found happiness together.
