A fan recently asked Ciku Muiruri if she regrets raising her daughter as a single mother. In response, Muiruri shared her thoughts on the experience.
According to Muiruri, having an amazing father figure in her own life made her aware of the potential impact of not having a father present for her daughter. However, she emphasized the positive aspects of their relationship, stating:
I had an amazing father who I was very close to and I feel bad for her not having experienced how that feels. Every little girl loves her dad. But every experience in your life makes you who you are. Erica is my best friend. Aside from maternal love that I have in abundance, I actually like her. She makes me laugh. A true angel. God-fearing, smart, mature beyond her years, responsible, hardworking but most of all, she has a beautiful soul. She lights up the lives of all who come into contact with her. I would not change one thing about her. If someone else was involved in her upbringing, shaping her character etc perhaps she'd be a different person. So no, I do not regret raising her myself. I'm actually quite proud of it. I'm so thankful to God for the opportunity to keep doing so and with His help and guidance, do it well. One day, she will marry, have kids and hopefully her husband will be as great of a father as my dad was. Wouldn't that be something?
Muiruri's response highlighted the unique bond between her and her daughter, as well as her gratitude for the opportunity to raise her child as a single mother.
