Rapper Moseti Kamanda, popularly known as G-Wiji of the Mashifta group, has passed away.
G-Wiji was among the pioneers of hip hop music in Kenya and, together with fellow rapper Kitu Sewer, produced tracks such as System Ya Majambazi, Pesa Pombe Siasa na Wanawake and Unga.
The Dandora-based group was popular with fans for their socially and politically conscious lyrics.
