Kenya Claims Ninth Africa Nations Volleyball Championship Title

The Kenya Women's volleyball national team, Malkia, successfully defended their Africa Nations Volleyball championship title with a 3-0 set win over Algeria at the Kasarani Indoor Arena.

Malkia Queens remained undefeated throughout the tournament, winning every set. However, they faced a challenge in the second set against Algeria, where they trailed twice before making a comeback to win.

As a result of their victory, Kenya qualified for the World Cup, which will take place in Japan in September, along with Algeria. In the match for third place, Cameroon defeated Senegal 3-2.

Individual awards were given to Everly Makuto, who was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP), Jane Wacu, who was recognized as the best setter, and Elizabeth Wanyama, who was awarded the best Libero title.

Following the win, several prominent Kenyan sports personalities took to social media to congratulate the team. These included:

Their congratulatory messages were posted on Twitter, praising the team's achievement and expressing pride in their performance.
