A new 7D theater has begun operating at Thika Road Mall, offering an immersive experience with interactive seats and special effects. According to reports, the theater started operations on February 14th.
The 7D Theater features advanced technology, including dynamic motion bases that provide six degrees of freedom, an audio system with 7.1 channel surround sound, and a digital video projector system. The theater also incorporates various special effects, such as water spray, blowing wind, fragrance, bubble, leg tickling, strobe lighting, and smoke effects.
The seating system is ergonomically designed with a hydraulically operated twin safety bar system and feedback sensors to ensure audience safety. The theater's control panel features an advanced proprietary motion controller and a high-performance personal computer to operate and control the motion base.
Safety features include built-in safety controls for emergency stops, low pressure, heated hydraulic oil, emergency stop buttons, and mechanical safety stoppers for all four axes. In the event of power failure, the system automatically sinks at a controlled rate to a stable position.
