Igembe South Member of Parliament, Mithika Linturi, revealed that he reported Meru Governor Peter Munya to the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) over corruption allegations.

Linturi stated that his intention was to have Munya jailed as an act of revenge for past political conflicts. He admitted to having strong feelings against Munya, wanting him removed from the scene.

However, Linturi expressed remorse for his actions, stating that he had not been at peace since making the report. He announced plans to work towards removing Munya's name from President Uhuru Kenyatta's list of shame, citing a desire for peace and tranquility.

"I wanted to fix Munya to get back at him, but now I have realized I was wrong and I want his name removed from the infamous list of shame. I put his name there and I know how to remove it," said Linturi.

Linturi also apologized to Munya for the difficulties he faced as Governor and pledged his support for Munya's leadership moving forward.
