Rosemary, the daughter of CORD leader Raila Odinga, remains hospitalized after falling ill due to a brain tumor, according to The Star.
The tumor, identified as a meningioma, is causing headaches but is considered harmless. Medics report that the tumor is pressing against the brain, resulting in the headaches. However, Rosemary's life is not in danger.
Rosemary was initially rushed to Aga Khan Hospital on Friday, February 17, and later transferred to Nairobi Hospital on Sunday, February 19. She has since been taken back to Aga Khan Hospital.
Rosemary, who is an aspirant for the Kibra MP seat, may undergo surgery to remove the tumor if specialists approve.
This incident bears some resemblance to Raila Odinga's own experience in June 2010, when he underwent surgery at Nairobi Hospital due to a buildup of pressure in his head caused by a car accident three weeks prior.
