A court case involving blogger Dikembe Disembe, accused of hate speech, has been postponed until July.
The case, which has been ongoing, hit a snag due to the absence of a key prosecution witness. Dikembe Disembe was reported to the National Cohesion and Integration Commission for allegedly posting a hate comment on Facebook about Mpeketoni, a charge he denies.
According to the allegations, the blogger is accused of ethnic contempt for referring to an ethnic community in Kenya as 'African colonialists' while commenting on sensitive land issues, which supposedly triggered the violence in Mpeketoni.
Meanwhile, the Somali terror group Al Shabaab has disputed the government's account of the Mpeketoni attack, which included references to 'local political networks.' The group has released a video of the attack.
