Human Rights Activist Boniface Mwangi was beaten by two Administration Police officers outside City Hall on Wednesday afternoon.
According to the original account, the incident occurred when Mwangi tried to record the officers using his cell phone while helping a friend whose motorbike had been impounded by city council askaris.
A video of the incident has surfaced, showing the events that transpired.
