A police constable, Elisha Kelly, was found dead in his house at the Central police line on Sunday at 6am. His body was discovered by his son, Denis Kelly.
According to the Central police station DCIO, the officer had diabetes. A statement recorded by Denis Kelly at the station indicated that his parents had a quarrel on Saturday evening.
The cause of the death is still unclear, and police are investigating the incident. The body of the officer has been taken to City mortuary.
