Deputy President William Ruto Offers Sympathy and Support After Accident Involving His Convoy

The Deputy President of Kenya, William Samoei Ruto, expressed sympathy on his verified Facebook page for two school girls injured in an accident involving his convoy in Gatanga Town, Murang'a County.

According to reports, the accident occurred when a crowd surged to see the Deputy President, pushing the two girls into the path of one of the cars in his convoy. The girls suffered bruises on their feet and were taken to a local hospital for treatment.

In a gesture of support, Deputy President Ruto covered the hospital bill for the girls' treatment. On social media, he shared a message expressing regret over the incident and wishing the girls a speedy recovery.

He stated,

"My sympathy goes out to the two young girls injured in an accident involving my motorcade in Murang’a. They are being treated for bruises on their legs. I am sorry for the unfortunate incident."
