A post has surfaced alleging that Homabay MP Hon Peter Kaluma is a deadbeat father. The allegations come from a person claiming to be the mother of his 11-year-old daughter.
According to the post, the mother claims that Hon Kaluma chased her away when she was 8 months pregnant and never showed up to take care of their child. She also alleges that he failed to honor an agreement to pay school fees, which was signed before a magistrate.
The mother shares her experience, stating that she was admitted to Pumwani Hospital and underwent an operation to save her life and the baby's. She claims that Hon Kaluma took in another woman, Shiku, into their house and showed no interest in their daughter.
The post includes a quote from the mother, who says:
I was so depressed beyond measure, I went to the children's court but he never appeared when he was summoned. Finally, he sent his advocate who signed an agreement to pay school fees each end term, he never honored the agreement signed before the Magistrate.
Hon Kaluma allegedly told the mother to withdraw the case or else he would amend children's rights. The mother claims that he is now bragging about being an intelligent lawmaker-legislator.
