Langata High School, the Nairobi Region Secondary schools boys' volleyball champions, will compete in the national Term Two games in Kisumu next week.
According to their coach Francis Mwangi, the team is eager to excel at the nationals and book a ticket to this year's East Africa games in Arusha, Tanzania.
Langata will be making their second appearance at the Kenya Secondary Schools Sports Association national Term Two games, seeking to improve on their 2018 fifth-place finish.
Coach Mwangi expressed cautious optimism, stating that every game at the nationals will be a final for him.
“Most teams will be making their debuts, but we will not underrate them because all teams have top players who can match us. We need to give our best in every match,” Mwangi said.
The team will rely on the services of right and left attackers Ezra Kipng'etich and Amon Kipkorir, centre attackers Makvilous Munala and Vincent Kiplimo, setter Titus Kibet, and libero Erick Musyoka.
