George Thuo, the former Member of Parliament for Juja Constituency, died on a Sunday night after collapsing at Porkies Club, a popular pub in Thika.
According to Dennis Itumbi, a government blogger, the late George Thuo had gone to the club to meet childhood friends. The club was hosting its weekly Reggae Night on Sundays.
Itumbi stated that at around midnight, Thuo complained of excessive heat before collapsing. The club owner promptly rushed him to Thika Nursing Home, and his wife was contacted. An ambulance was then sought to transfer him to Aga Khan Hospital, but unfortunately, he did not survive. His body was taken to Lee Funeral Home.
