The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party has fired Eldas MP Adan Keynan, just two days after he led a group of over 15 leaders from his community to meet President Uhuru Kenyatta at State House, Nairobi.
According to sources, Keynan has been relieved of his duties as the chairman of the National Assembly's Public Investments Committee, with his position being taken over by Wajir Woman Representative Fatuma Ibrahim.
Keynan had defected to the Jubilee Party along with other leaders, including MPs Abass Mohamed (Wajir East) and Mohamed Elmi (Tarbaj), as well as 15 Members of County Assembly (MCAs). They were received by President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy, William Ruto, on Monday, March 6.
