Senator Otieno Kajwang' of Homa Bay County was involved in a serious road accident on November 14, 2014, while driving to an ODM leaders' consultative meeting in his native Homa Bay County. Although he escaped unhurt, his driver and fellow passengers were seriously injured. The vehicle, a Japanese 4x4 Prado, was completely damaged.
