A commercial sex worker and an Administration Police officer are being held for questioning over the theft of the officer's G3 rifle.
According to reports, James Kariuki, who is based at the Embu Police Station, lost his gun after engaging in sexual activity with the woman at his residence in Embu town's AP line.
Kariuki allegedly told a colleague that he fell asleep after the encounter, only to wake up and find his weapon missing, along with the woman.
The matter was reported, and after a day-long search, the woman was apprehended. However, she denies taking the rifle, complicating the situation further.
Kariuki faces potential imprisonment for mishandling his firearm.
