Past visits by sitting presidents to Kisii High School have coincided with the cancellation of the school's exam results the following year.
In 1973, President Jomo Kenyatta visited Kisii High School, and the school's 1974 KCE results were cancelled.
In 1995, President Moi visited the school, and the 1996 KCSE results were cancelled.
In 2004, President Mwai Kibaki visited Kisii High School, and the 2005 KCSE results were cancelled.
More recently, President Uhuru Kenyatta visited the school on June 8, 2014, and the subsequent results were also cancelled.
