A performance by comedian Ann Kansiime in Johannesburg reportedly turned dramatic when a wealthy individual, allegedly linked to socialite Huddah, appeared on stage.
According to the account, after Kansiime finished her set, the man, identified as Ivan, along with his associate, attempted to take the stage but were rebuffed by Kansiime. She jokingly referred to them as her 'backup dancers.'
The situation escalated when Ivan began throwing money at Kansiime on stage, prompting her to make light of the situation with a sarcastic remark, calling them her 'bouncers.' She further quipped, saying:
'No wonder as I checked in at the airport, they thought I was a sangoma like these guys. They thought I was also here to shake calabashes. Please send the money home, your people need it.'
Kansiime eventually left the stage, but the confrontation continued backstage, where she expressed dissatisfaction with the event organizers. Later, on her Facebook page, she voiced her disappointment, stating:
'Having showed up with the love and paid highly to enjoy your evening, only to be disrespected by amateur organization, poor sound, and a very unapologetic and unremorseful promoter, I feel sorry for my fans.'
