According to the statement, there have been instances of individuals pretending to be Mike Sonko and soliciting money from Kenyans.
Sonko has warned people not to send any money, stating that anyone asking for money in his name is a fake.
Sonko said, "I kindly request you to avoid paying anything to get an appointment with me...There is a conman using this number 0714705873 who goes by the name Koech Sonko, according to truecaller. I do not provide motorbikes, nor do I request cheque processing fees. Recruitment to the Sonko Rescue Team is also free...Please be very vigilant, thank you."
