A man in Juja town, Kiambu county, who was on a drinking spree, was disciplined by his wives for allegedly failing to meet their conjugal rights. The wives claimed that the man had not shown interest in them, often coming home late and drunk.
According to the women, it had been barely three months since the man last attempted to sleep with one of them. They stated,
We are going to teach him a lesson, we are women too and have feelings and respect marriage. We are not toys and need to experience the sweetness of marriage.
This incident is not isolated, as there have been previous cases where women have demonstrated against their husbands due to neglect and over-drinking.
