Nation Media Group has introduced a new set of corporate values aimed at motivating employees to generate innovative ideas and adapt to the evolving global media landscape.

The company's new values include consumer focus, integrity, trust, continuous improvement, innovation, drive for performance, and making the company the employer of choice.

During the unveiling ceremony at Safari Park Hotel in Nairobi on February 25, 2017, CEO Joe Muganda led staff in a team-building exercise featuring various sporting activities.

Mr. Muganda acknowledged that the company has faced several challenges over the past 18 months but expressed commitment to tailoring products to meet consumer expectations.

"We have the ability to ensure that the new values work for the best of our company. We want to produce products that our consumers will love,"

he said.

The CEO encouraged staff to share ideas that could help the company achieve its objectives, emphasizing that no single department has a monopoly on ideas.

According to the NMG human resource department, the event also aimed to unify staff from all departments.

Human Resource Manager David Kiambi urged staff to embrace the new values and incorporate them into their future work, stating that this is crucial for the company to achieve its objectives.

During the team-building exercise, staff were guided through each of the new values to ensure understanding and contextualization.

The staff responded positively to the event, describing it as educational, informative, and entertaining. It also provided an opportunity for staff to get to know colleagues from other parts of the country.
