Chameleone's younger brother, AK47, was pronounced dead at Nsambya Hospital after collapsing in a bar, according to reports.
AK47, whose real name is Emmanuel Mayanja, collapsed in a bathroom at Dejevu Bar, as reported by Mseto East Africa host Willy M Tuva. He was rushed to the hospital by friends who found him.
Emmanuel Mayanja, also known as AK47, was a dancehall star and father of twins. He was the younger brother of Jose Chameleone, Weasel, and Pallaso.
Reactions from the Music Industry ¶
Several artists, including Bebe Cool, Eddy Kenzo, Daisy Ejang, Maro, and Comedian Kansiime, expressed their shock and sent condolences to the Mayanja family.
Pallaso shared his grief, saying,
Dear heavenly God my heart is falling apart.. My world is crumbled!! I just lost my best friend, my brother, my refuge, the one person that knows every thing about me and I could swear I know everything about him.. We together both raised each other.. The world has lost one of the greatest Angels to ever live.. My young brother Emmanuel Mayanja to many's favorite as Ak 47 is dead!! God please wake me up the pain is too much!!
AK47's last Instagram post also drew attention, where he stated,
