Universities in Kenya will cease admissions for certificate and diploma programs by July, according to an announcement by the Commission for University Education (CUE).
The CUE stated that these courses should be offered by technical institutions, while universities will focus on degree and post-graduate training.
Students already enrolled in certificate and diploma courses before the deadline will be permitted to complete their studies.
