Pregnant House Help Found Dead in Nairobi Employer's Home

A 25-year-old pregnant house help, Kagendi Gitonga, was found dead in her employer's house at Laiser estate in Nairobi on a Thursday.

According to the original account, Kagendi Gitonga was found lying dead in her room by her employer, Gladys Nyachiao.

Police spokesperson Zipporah Mboroki stated that the house help was found half naked and was also pregnant. Ms Mboroki said,

Kagendi who died in her employer’s house at around 9:50 p.m. was five months pregnant.

Ms Mboroki also noted that the body had no physical injuries, but crude pipes were found beside the deceased, which may indicate a possible suicide.

The body was taken to the Nairobi City mortuary for post-mortem as police investigate to determine the exact cause of death.
