KTN investigative journalist Mohamed Ali criticized President Uhuru and Deputy President Ruto shortly after the release of jailed doctors.
Ali, who sought the Nyali parliamentary seat, has been critical of the Jubilee government and predicted their loss in the 2017 election.
The release of the doctors, which was seen as a gain for the opposition, reinforced Ali's sentiment that the Jubilee government was weakening.
According to Ali, the release of the medics signified that the first challenge against Jubilee had been overcome ahead of the General Election.
On Twitter, Ali stated,
"The Doctors have spoken. It's our turn now as citizens to stand up and say no to Dictatorship and criminal regime.Yote yawezekana bila wezi!"
Previously, Ali accused the government of targeting him after he alleged that Jubilee planned to rig the election.
The Court of Appeal, led by Judge Wanjiru Karanja, ordered the immediate release of the doctors while negotiations to end the three-month strike continued.
The doctors maintained that the strike would persist unless the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) was implemented.
