A road accident in Uganda's Budaka district has claimed the lives of two Nation Media Group employees, who were attached to the Daily Monitor newspaper.
The victims, identified as Mr Tony Kaddu, a driver, and Mr Daniel Adda from the circulation department, died instantly when their delivery vehicle rammed into a lorry along the Mbale-Tirinyi Highway on Sunday.
According to eyewitnesses, it took over half an hour to retrieve the bodies from the wreckage of the vehicle, which was stuck under the truck. Two other colleagues were seriously injured in the accident.
The Nation Media Group family has expressed condolences for the loss of the two staff members.
