The Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) has released its latest review, announcing changes in fuel prices. As of the review, motorists can expect to pay slightly higher prices for petrol, while diesel and kerosene prices have decreased.
In the review, the price of super petrol increases by Sh0.55 per litre, while diesel and kerosene decrease by Sh1.05 and Sh0.75 per litre, respectively.
In Nairobi, the new prices are as follows: super petrol will sell at Sh114.16, up from Sh113.61 in March; diesel will sell at Sh103.82, down from Sh104.87 in March; and kerosene will retail at Sh83.16 per litre, down from Sh83.91 in March.
According to the ERC, the increase in petrol prices is due to a 1.34 percent rise in the average cost of imported products.
Regional prices vary, with motorists in Mombasa paying Sh110.80 for super petrol, Sh100.48 for diesel, and Sh80.37 for kerosene. In Nakuru, prices are Sh114.79 for super petrol, Sh104.68 for diesel, and Sh83.93 for kerosene. Kisumu motorists will pay Sh116.00 for super petrol, Sh105.89 for diesel, and Sh84.95 for kerosene. In Eldoret, prices are Sh115.93 for super petrol, Sh105.82 for diesel, and Sh84.96 for kerosene.
