On July 22, 2019, Oppo, a Chinese mobile phone maker, introduced its new Reno series in the Kenyan market.
The Reno series boasts a flagship model, the Reno 10x Zoom, which retails at Sh90,000.
The Reno 10x Zoom is a camera-centric smartphone equipped with a 13-megapixel periscope telephoto lens, capable of up to 10x hybrid lossless zoom.
According to Muthoni Wachira, PR Manager of Oppo Kenya, the Reno series will serve as a catalyst for Oppo's future smartphone development and an integral part of the company's global growth strategy.
The device features a pop-up selfie camera, a 6.6-inch AMOLED screen with no notch, and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 system-on-chip (SoC) with up to 8GB of RAM.
The phone is equipped with a 4,065 mAh battery and supports VOOC 3.0 fast charging technology.
