A student at South Eastern Kenya University (SEKU) in Kitui was arrested for allegedly raping a university lecturer, according to the original account.
The incident occurred at dawn in the lecturer's office, the statement says.
Following the incident, the lecturer received medical attention at Kwa Vonza Dispensary.
