Nairobi Senator Mike Mbuvi Sonko, known for his philanthropic acts, gave his security guard a Christmas present.
According to the senator, he appreciates the guard’s work and wanted to show his appreciation with a gift. Sonko has already started his festivities at his home in Mua.
In a video caption on his Facebook page, Sonko wrote, "Surprise your guard this Christmas with a gift or double salary ujionee vituko zake… Huyu wangu amenimaliza na kicheko.#SelfieDance." The senator also posted a video of the guard happily dancing to a lingala song about selfies.
Philanthropy ¶
Sonko had earlier shared photos of his guard and urged youths to take care of their parents. He wrote, "Dear Nairobians… It is another December holiday. During this festive season, Together with Donald B we want to invite you on a soul searching voyage.
"There is nothing to be proud of when you live in a big house in Nairobi and drive big cars and earn fat salaries and have big collection of clothes and shoes, when your parents are living in squalor or mud house or leaking semi-permanent house."
Sonko is known for his philanthropy and has assisted many residents through his Sonko Rescue Services.
