A Nakuru-based journalist, Elijah Kinyanjui, who was arrested for allegedly sharing a post about Nakuru Governor Kinuthia Mbugua's daughter via WhatsApp, has been released.
Kinyanjui was arrested at his house at about 10am over the post on the lifestyle of the girl that he reportedly shared three months ago.
The story had been published on the Kenya Daily Post blog.
Kinyanjui, who was taken to Central police station by CID officers, said via Nakuru Analyst that the officers did not give him a reason for the arrest.
