Raila Odinga, the Opposition leader, claims he introduced Aden Duale to politics. Odinga, who leads the Orange Democratic Movement party, said he chose Duale in 2007, when Duale was relatively unknown.
According to Odinga, he personally selected Duale from Mombasa and helped launch his political career before Duale joined the Jubilee party.
