A former business partner sued Akunga, alleging she owed him 17.6 million shillings. The pressure from the media reports and accusations led to her hospitalization, where she discovered she is expecting a baby.
Akunga has not responded to the accusations. The string of scandals began after she posted photos of her husband's flashy birthday celebration, including the car gift.
