Soita Shitanda, a former Kenyan Cabinet Minister, has died at Nairobi Hospital following a prolonged illness.

Family members stated that the former Malava MP had been unwell for some time before being hospitalized two weeks prior to his passing on Tuesday afternoon.

At the time of his death, Shitanda was serving as the chairman of the Agricultural Development Corporation (ADC). Previously, he held the position of Housing Minister in both the NARC and grand coalition governments.

Additionally, Shitanda had served as a Member of Parliament for Malava.
