July 23, 2019 - In a bid to strengthen their squad, Wazito FC has signed former Gor Mahia defender Abouba Sibomana on a one-year contract.
Sibomana, a Rwandese left-back, spent two years with Premier League giants Gor Mahia before leaving in January 2017 to rejoin his native country's Rayon Sports.
He later sealed a move back to Kenya, and is now expected to be joined by his former teammate Karim Niziyimana, who is expected in the country on Friday to ink a deal.
Niziyimana has been playing for Viper SC of Uganda since leaving Gor Mahia in November last year.
Wazito FC, coached by Fred Ambani, has shown a major appetite in the transfer market, capturing marquee talents as they bid to shake up the KPL order, backed by a new investor in Ricardo Badoer.
It remains to be seen how they'll fair in the new season after earning a return to the top-tier after a season in the second division.
