WCB's Top Manager Quits Amid Allegations of Mistreating Employees

July 23, 2019

WCB's top management has been hit by a wave of allegations of mistreating its employees. The latest to exit the label is Mbosso's manager, Sandra Brown, who has been accused of underpaying and overworking her staff.

Sandra, who is also a vlogger, has allegedly left the label after being Mbosso's manager for over a year. This makes her the second high-ranking manager to exit the label after Harmonize's former manager, Joel Vincent Joseph, left just 10 months ago.

Joel, also known as Mr. Puaz, accused Konde Boy of being arrogant, disrespectful, and offering poor pay. He claimed that only those at the top table get their rightful dues, earning way more than the artists themselves.

According to sources, Sandra exited after she could not take any more exploitation and frustrations at the label. However, speaking to 'Bongo 5', Mbosso refuted the claims about Sandra's exit, stating that she has moved to another department in an internal restructuring.

One Almah Bronx has taken Sandra's place, managing the East Africa affairs of Nigerian artist, Patoranking. WCB's structure is that each artist gets assigned their own personal manager, who then reports to WCB's top managers; Babu Tale, Sallam Mendez, and Said Fella.

These top managers' decisions are unquestionable as they table decisions alongside WCB King, Diamond. Unfortunately, an ex-WCB employee revealed that the record label exploits everyone, including the artists.

Only those at the high table get their rightful dues, earning way more than the artists themselves. Working as a WCB manager is no walk in the park, as you are paid by the label on the basis of how much income the artist you handle generates. It's a small percentage not equivalent to the work put in.
