Njagu Lesoit, a 53-year-old man from Narok East county, claims that former Finance Minister and presidential candidate Simeon Nyachae is his biological father.

Lesoit says he was informed about his alleged parentage 12 years ago by an elder, who told him that Nyachae used to visit the home of former Internal Security Minister Justus ole Tipis, a neighbor of Lesoit's mother before Kenya gained independence.

According to Lesoit, he has been trying to contact Nyachae and his eldest son Charles, the chairman of the Constitution Implementation Commission, to confirm his paternity. Lesoit says many people have noted his resemblance to the Nyachae family, particularly Charles.

Lesoit claims he is not interested in financial gain but seeks Nyachae's blessing if he is indeed his father. He says he has been turned away by security guards when attempting to visit the Nyachae family homes due to lack of an appointment.

Lesoit also mentions that his now-deceased step-father, Peter Lesoit, referred to him as a 'Kisii', which he believes may be related to his alleged paternal heritage.
