A recent order by President Uhuru Kenyatta to destroy alcohol in central Kenya has led to widespread destruction in the region.

Youths have been moving from business to business, destroying any alcoholic beverages they find, regardless of their legality. Meanwhile, the Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) has revoked over 300 licenses of liquor sellers in the region, leaving them vulnerable to attacks by gangs.
