Homicide detectives in Kiambu county are investigating the murder of four men whose bodies were found strangled and dumped in an abandoned Probox vehicle in the Gitaru area, off the main Naivasha-Nairobi highway.

The bodies were recovered by police after members of the public alerted them to the discovery. Preliminary investigations indicate that the victims were murdered elsewhere and their bodies later dumped in the area.

The incident occurred as another violent crime was reported in the Northern Kenya town of Garissa, where three people, including two hotel waiters and a security guard, were stabbed to death by unknown assailants.

The recovered account cited reporting by Mediamax.
