A recent accident involving a bus carrying students from St. Mary’s Nyamagwa Girls Secondary School has resulted in the deaths of three students, with 68 others injured. The incident occurred on the Igare-Itumbe road in Nyambunde, Kisii County.
According to reports, the driver lost control of the newly acquired bus, which was carrying form three students who were trying out the vehicle. The students, along with a teacher and the driver, were taken to Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital for treatment.
The hospital has requested blood donations due to a shortage of supply. This accident took place at a known black spot, which had previously claimed the lives of over 13 students traveling to school games.
