The International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) is recruiting a Communications Officer for the Bio-resources Innovations Network for Eastern Africa Development (Bio-Innovate) Program, a regional initiative supporting biosciences and product-oriented innovation activities in eastern Africa.
The Bio-Innovate Program aims to strengthen the link between research, bio-innovation, and end-users to initiate and commercialize innovations for sustainable utilization and integration of the region’s bio-resources for economic growth and development. Phase I of the Program, which started in 2010, is set to end in 2015.
The Communications Officer will report to the Program Manager and lead communication and outreach activities for the Bio-Innovate Program and its supported projects. This is a national recruited position based in Nairobi, Kenya, with an initial 1-year fixed contract and the possibility of renewal.
