An international, non-sectarian organization that promotes an innovative value-based approach to peace building is recruiting a Finance Manager to oversee financial management and compliance for its programs in Kenya.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring effective financial management and compliance for all supported programs in Kenya.
  • Developing and managing financial processes related to the company's programs.
  • Managing financial reporting and audit requirements to meet internal and donor requirements.
  • Developing and delivering financial training for local staff and partners.
  • Conducting financial risk assessments related to the work supported by the company.
  • Ensuring strategic plans for long-term sustainability of business units.
  • Implementing controls, checks, and balances to safeguard organizational assets.
  • Ensuring relevant assets for proper organizational functioning.
  • Monitoring budgets, including producing monthly management accounts.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A degree in Finance and Accounting.
  • A diploma or degree in a business-related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the field.
  • CPA(K)/ACCA certification.
  • Excellent technical and communication skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of computerized accounting systems, preferably QuickBooks.
  • Strong analytical, reporting, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
