An international, non-sectarian organization that promotes an innovative value-based approach to peace building is recruiting a Finance Manager to oversee financial management and compliance for its programs in Kenya.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Ensuring effective financial management and compliance for all supported programs in Kenya.
- Developing and managing financial processes related to the company's programs.
- Managing financial reporting and audit requirements to meet internal and donor requirements.
- Developing and delivering financial training for local staff and partners.
- Conducting financial risk assessments related to the work supported by the company.
- Ensuring strategic plans for long-term sustainability of business units.
- Implementing controls, checks, and balances to safeguard organizational assets.
- Ensuring relevant assets for proper organizational functioning.
- Monitoring budgets, including producing monthly management accounts.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A degree in Finance and Accounting.
- A diploma or degree in a business-related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in the field.
- CPA(K)/ACCA certification.
- Excellent technical and communication skills.
- Advanced knowledge of computerized accounting systems, preferably QuickBooks.
- Strong analytical, reporting, presentation, and facilitation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
