The MTV Shuga crew recently completed a series of public and private audition sessions, and the cast for Series 3 has been revealed. The new cast includes a mix of well-known faces and newcomers, featuring:
- Beat FM DJ and Morning Rush host Maria Okanrende as Foye, an ambitious radio and club personality with a domineering mother.
- Singer-songwriter Tiwa Savage making her TV debut as Sade, the glamorous owner of Badoo nightclub.
- Dorcas Shola Fapson as Sophie, a failing student who uses her body to get what she wants.
- Okezie Morro as Ekene, a young music promoter with a steady girlfriend but a roving eye.
- Chris Attoh as Nii, a domineering husband.
Other key cast members include Adeyemi Okanlawon as David, a handsome medical student; Chisom Sharon Ezeamaka as Princess, Sophie’s naive teenage sister; James Timini Egbuson as Tobi, a conscientious student; Kachi' Nnochiri as Osaro, PA and "Mr Fixit" to a corrupt businessman; Leonora Okine as Malaika, Sophie’s married friend; and Olumide Oworu as Weki, Sade’s 16-year-old nephew.
The new cast joins returning members, including Ikubese Emmanuel Ifeanyichukwu as music promoter Femi and Kenyan actor, singer, and model Nick Mutuma, who makes a cameo appearance as Leo.
