More than 300 Kenya Agriculture and Livestock Research Organization (KALRO) workers and Dairy Training Institute (DTI) students protested in Naivasha against the alleged grabbing of their land.
The protesters claimed that research work at the KALRO farm in Naivasha is nearing collapse, with significant livestock losses due to lack of pastures.
They stated that 5,000 acres of land have been grabbed, severely impacting research activities in the area.
The group marched to the Naivasha sub-county offices and submitted a petition.
Samuel Mukoa, a KALRO worker, said that the research and pasture land had been taken over by grabbers, affecting operations.
Gordon Wandega, another worker, acknowledged a major crisis at the KALRO farm.
